Voter Information

Important Dates

  • Monday, October 27 is the last day for voters to register to vote or make updates and still receive a mail ballot.
  • Beginning Monday, October 27, Arapahoe County voters must go to a Voter Service and Polling Center or contact their county clerk to request a new or replacement ballot.

Other important election dates:

  • Week of October 10 – Counties will start mailing ballots to all registered electors;
  • Week of October 10 – 24-hour ballot drop-off locations open;
  • October 13 – Last day a voter may request a ballot be sent by mail;
  • November 4 – General Election Day; polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., including all drop-off locations.

Voter Registration

Colorado permits online voter registration with a Colorado driver's license or ID card. You can register to vote if you will be 18 years old by Election Day, are a citizen of the United States, and have lived in Colorado at least 22 days prior to Election Day. In order to receive your ballot by mail, register or update your voter registration online through the eighth (8th) day before Election Day. Refer to your county’s website or office number below for voter registration and information.

Colorado voters can register through Election Day but must register at least eight days prior to Election Day to receive a ballot in the mail. Voters who register after that day may register and pick up a ballot in person at their county's Voter Service and Polling Center or county clerk's office.

Returning Your Ballot

By mail

Ballots may be returned to the county by mail. Be sure to use adequate postage. Ballot postage details can be found in the voter instructions inside the ballot envelope. Mailed ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Postmarks will not count.

Drop-off locations

Dropped off ballots must be sealed in the official return envelope and placed in a ballot box in the county where you live by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Refer to your county’s website for the nearest ballot drop-off location.

The Littleton Center is not a ballot drop-off location.

Changes to Campaign Contribution Limits

HB23-1245, passed in 2023 with an efficacy date of January 1, 2024, limits individual contributions to any candidate to not more than $400 per donor, per election; The city previously had no contribution limits and has not adopted anything to negate the contribution limits set forth by CRS 1-45-103.7 which states “The maximum amount of aggregate contributions any one person, including a political party, and excluding small donor committees, may make to a candidate committee for a municipal office, and that a candidate committee for such a candidate may accept from any one such person per election is four hundred dollars ($400)”

Candidate Filing Deadlines

  • September 23 - Contribution and expenditure report due for period ending September 16, 2025
  • October 14 - Contribution and expenditure report due for period ending October 7, 2025
  • October 27- Contribution and expenditure report due for period ending October 20, 2025
  • December 4- Contribution and expenditure report due for period ending November 27, 2025

Municipal elections are run in odd-numbered years and are nonpartisan in nature. The city clerk’s office does not have any information regarding any candidate's party affiliation.

Registered voters in the City of Littleton will elect four (4) council members in 2025. All are four-year terms.

Littleton citizens interested in becoming a candidate should contact the city clerk’s office at 303-795-3780. Nomination petitions for candidacy will be available from the city clerk’s office Tuesday, August 5, 2025. All completed petitions must contain 50 valid signatures and shall be provided to the city clerk’s office no later than Monday, August 25, 2025 at 5 p.m. Prior to obtaining a nomination petition, interested persons must first submit a Candidate Affidavit Form.
