Who can use eTRAKiT?
eTRAKiT is open to all users. A contractor that is registered with the City of Littleton must sign in using their company name and reset their password. All other users that are not contractors (i.e. homeowners, realtors or insurance agents) are able to create a user account to create an online application or to schedule an inspection.
Will Trakit9 and eTRAKiT work in any internet browser?
No, Internet Explorer is the preferred browser as others browsers may block pop-ups.

I am locked out of eTRAKiT. How do I get back in?
The eTRAKiT system is set to automatically unlock every 5 minutes. Wait a little while and try again.
I keep getting a pop-up that says, "Please verify you are not a robot" but there is no where to verify.
Make sure your window is scrolled all the way to the bottom and you should see the nCAPTCHA on the left with a check box for 'I'm not a robot'.
I am having trouble locating my permit number when I conduct a search.
Be sure to enter the permit number exactly as it appears on your permit. The number needs to be entered in the “search for” field. For example, BLDG13-1234.
As a homeowner doing my own work at my home, am I required to obtain a permit?
“Homeowner” permits are available only for residential properties and only to those individuals who own, use, and occupy the property on which the work is to be performed. (Title 3-16-1 B 1).
Homeowners performing projects that involve only one discipline (structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are not required to have or be a general contractor. Homeowners who wish to act as a general contractor on a project comprised of two or more disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are required to employ a City of Littleton licensed general contractor or demonstrate sufficient knowledge to supervise the project through testing with the International Code Council.

Can I pay for my permit or application online using eTRAKiT?
Yes, credit card payments (Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express) are the preferred method of payment and can be paid online. 2.2% of the total transaction amount will be added as a service charge to credit card payments. We will still accept payment at the counter. ECheck should be available soon.

Many building and development permits became available through eTRAKiT beginning on June 22, 2020 and additional permit types are being added continually:

Can I apply for a Short-Term Rental License through eTRAKiT?
Yes, Short Term Rental License Applications were added to eTRAKiT on February 24, 2021. Licensees will no longer use the online Business & Sales/Use Tax Application for this purpose.
For Current STR License holders
All current businesses, including property management companies, operating a Short-Term Rental are required to complete a new application to comply with short-term rental requirements. Once you complete the online eTRAKiT application, your new license will include both a Business & Sales/Use Tax License and a Short-Term Rental License.

What types of development applications can I apply for through eTRAKiT?
Development application processes are added to this tool regularly. If you do not see the application available for online submittal check back often. Users can still monitor process of permits and projects through https://permit9.littletongov.org/eTRAKiT/ even if the application was not created online.
Can I request a zoning letter or a new address through eTRAKiT?
Yes, Zoning Letter Requests and Addressing Requests are considered application types and may be applied for through eTRAKiT as a project type.
Can I request a pre-application meeting through eTRAKiT?
Yes, all pre-application meetings should be requested through eTRAKiT as an application type. See the how-to instructions for help on navigating this process.
Am I able to apply for a Contractors License through eTRAKiT?

How do I apply for an appeal?
Appeals of any final board, council, or administrative decision may be made through eTRAKiT by choosing 'Appeal' as the project type. The exception to this would be an appeal to the Building Board of Appeals. For information on BBoA appeals, please see Building Board of Appeals page.
Do I need a Sewer and Right-Of-Way permit to work on the sewer line within the City's Right-of-Way?
If the sewer work is in the City’s sanitation district, a Sewer permit will also allow work within the City's ROW. For sewer work in other sanitation districts impacting the ROW, a ROW permit is required from the City of Littleton.

Why can't I pick a date for my inspection?
You have to click "Add Inspection" before the date drop down box will appear.
Can I cancel an inspection from eTRAKiT?
Yes, but only if the inspection has been scheduled. Inspections must be cancelled no later than 7 am on the day of inspection is scheduled.
