Project details:

In an effort to properly maintain and operate the city’s sanitary sewer systems, the City of Littleton has contracted with ProPipe Inc. to clean and document the condition and locations of this important underground infrastructure. Crews will be jetting and sending a remote camera through our sanitary sewer trunklines. These trunklines are between 15-inches and 24-inches and carry sanitary sewer to our main sanitary interceptor lines that flow to the South Platte Renew Wastewater Treatment Plant. The cleaning of the trunklines will occur between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camera inspections of the trunklines will occur between 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. The camera inspections need to be performed during low flow times on the trunk lines to avoid bypass pumping and to get a clear video of the inside of the sanitary trunk lines.

Some of the manholes to access these systems are found on or between private properties. ProPipe’s field crews may require access to private properties via existing utility easements if sanitary sewer manholes or other structures are located within back yards. This inspection work will be ongoing throughout the city from July 10 through Mid-September 2023. We anticipate the inspection will require only a few days in any one location.
