City Board, Commission, Authority, or Committee

Residents can apply for vacancies on any city board, commission, authority, or committee. The city clerk's office will accept applications for vacancies from early December through January 31. City council reviews the applications and conducts interviews in February. Council makes appointments in March and terms begin April 1.

Only residents may serve on a city board, commission or authority (except the Transportation Mobility Board). Direct questions to the city clerk's office at 303-795-3753.

Bemis Library

Volunteers provide vital support to the operations of Bemis Library. Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • General clerical and reception.
  • Check in books and shelve materials.
  • Receive and process new books.

Littleton Municipal Court

Learn about judicial services when you volunteer with the Littleton Municipal Court. Develop new skills, have fun, and participate in meaningful innovation. Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Littleton Defensive Driving School Administrator
  • Reception and court check-in (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
  • Jury Trial Bailiff (Fridays)
  • General Clerical (Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm)

Littleton Museum

For more than 50 years, the Littleton Museum has created exhibits, events, and programs that provide immersive experiences in history, art, culture. Volunteers serve as the Museum’s ambassadors to our visitors. Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Front desk receptions
  • School group greeters
  • Living history interpreters
  • Collections and research

Littleton Immigrant Resources Center

Littleton's Immigrant Resources Center at Bemis Library assists immigrants with language and citizenship.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Support staff for the Center.
  • Help an immigrant prepare for their naturalization examination.
  • Language partners
  • Assist with workshops & events.
  • Grant writing support.

Victim Services Volunteer Program

The Littleton Police Department Victim Services unit provides crisis intervention, support, and appropriate referrals to victims of crime and traumatic events within the city of Littleton.

Western Welcome Week
