Local Partnership Funding and Stadium District Funding

The 2026 grant application is open from June 23, 2025, at 8 a.m. to July 28, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Each year the Littleton City Council considers requests for discretionary grants, historically from nonprofit organizations that serve Littleton residents, and awards the grants to the organizations during the budget process. For the 2026 award cycle, the city is including distribution of Stadium District Funding as part of the same application process. Stadium District Funding was a one-time payment to the city related to the purchase of the Denver Broncos Football Club to be spent on youth activity programs. To qualify for these funds, applicants must demonstrate how their use of the funds will benefit youth activity programs in the community. Additionally, local partnership funding is no longer considering arts, culture, and tourism applications, as these applications should be directed to the arts and culture grants supported by the lodgers tax approved by voters in 2022. This is a competitive process as council always receives more requests than it has funds available.

  • Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in October 2025
  • Local Partnership Funding awards will be distributed in January 2026
  • Stadium District Funding awards will be distributed in January 2026

Apply for Local Partnership and Stadium District Funding Grants

Application Guidelines

Requests may include operational, one-time special purpose grants, or event sponsorships (in-kind or cash).

Preference is given to:

  • Programs and events historically supported by the city that directly serve Littleton citizens;
  • Programs with greatest community impact;
  • Programs with the highest number of Littleton resident participants;
  • Established service providers within the city

For Stadium District Funding only

Grants will not be awarded for:

  • Debt or deficit reduction;
  • Events outside the Littleton city limits;
  • Capital improvements;
  • For-profit events and/or activities

Other considerations:

  • All applicants must agree to reference the city as a sponsor for programs supported via monetary grants or in-kind sponsorship;
  • Individual awards are capped at $25,000 for most applicants unless the award will directly benefit the youth activity programs in the City of Littleton;
  • Applicants must submit a brief written summary to the Littleton City Manager’s office of how prior years' funds from Littleton, if received, were used and contributed to the community with any subsequent applications in the year the funds were received.
  • Groups requesting in-kind support from the city, including digital or print promotional materials, must include the request in the grant application.
  • For questions about the process, contact the program administrator cmll@littletonco.gov
