Joel Zink, Littleton City Council Member

Joel R. Zink grew up in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania, and graduated from CU Boulder before earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Raised by parents who instilled a strong sense of community and public service, he has always been committed to giving back and making a difference through his work.

These days, he works as a Chief Deputy District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District in Arapahoe County. In this role, he trains all new prosecutors and oversees the Hate Crimes Team, which he helped start. He’s also proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Arapahoe County Bar Association.

Joel and his wife Maddie, an attorney who shares his dedication to fairness and justice, are proud to call Littleton home. They enjoy everything the city has to offer, from its welcoming neighborhoods to its rich history and outdoor spaces.

On city council, he’s focused on keeping Littleton a safe and well-connected place to live. He’s particularly passionate about public safety and improving infrastructure to meet the needs of residents now and into the future. He’s committed to working hand in hand with neighbors to ensure Littleton remains a place folks are proud to call home.


Joel Zink was appointed to the Littleton City Council in January 2025 to fill the vacancy created when Council Member Gretchen Rydin stepped down following her election to the Colorado State Legislature.
