Prince Street Link

The project will construct the following improvements along Prince Street between Alamo Avenue and Lake Avenue and as shown in the following graphic:

Reconstruction of the Prince Street and Church Avenue intersection will include:

• Concrete roadway removal and replacement near the intersection
• Sidewalk removals to construct wider for safer and more accessible sidewalks
• Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps to allow people with mobility and sensory limitations to safely navigate crossings
• Installation of bicycle lanes to increase bicycle safety and visibility
• Upgraded traffic signal equipment to provide increased intersection safety through implementation of leading pedestrian intervals, and transit signal priority (for future use)

Improvements along Prince Street will include:

• Removal and replacement of sidewalk along segments of Prince Street to provide safer and more accessible pedestrian facility. Where the width allowed, the sidewalk will be widened.
• Installation of bike lanes in both directions Prince Street to increase bicycle safety and visibility
• Removal of the asphalt roadway and replacement with concrete pavement for a more durable and lasting wearing surface (north of the Prince Street Bridge)
• Removal and replacement of curb and gutter along segments of Prince Street
• Installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps at the RTD bus stop driveways, at the West Lake Avenue intersection, and at the Church and Prince intersection

The project is funded by a Colorado Department of Transportation Safer Main Streets grant and local funds.
