The Alamo Avenue, Main Street, and Prince Street bridges are the three bridges providing access into and out of downtown Littleton. These three bridges are in the northern area of Littleton and cross over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) and the Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail lines. The fences and their associated infrastructure along these bridges have continued to deteriorate over time due to weather and infrastructure age. The city has selected a contractor to complete several fence and infrastructure repair and maintenance activities along these three bridges to address these deteriorating conditions. Work includes:
This repair and maintenance work will require full time sidewalk and lane closures in order to expedite the work, however through traffic will be permitted at all times and pedestrian detours will be clearly noted. Please visit the Cone Zone web page for traffic impacts and detours. The bridge repairs, maintenance and aesthetic improvements are funded through 3A funds.
The contractor will begin the bridge fence repair and maintenance work mid-October 2025 with anticipated completion in early March.
