The Cone Zone is a list of traffic impacts during capital improvement project construction throughout the City of Littleton. Many of these projects are funded by the voter-supported 2021 Measure 3A in addition to local, state, and federal grants. Learn more at BigThingsLittleton.com.

Active 2025 Construction Projects

Euclid Avenue Multimodal Improvements - Elati Street to Cherokee Street

Traffic Impact:

  • The Euclid Avenue Reconstruction Project will implement "complete street" design along Euclid Avenue from Elati Street to the High Line Canal Trail in two phases. Phase 1 will go from Elati Street to Cherokee Street. The remainder of the project is scheduled to be completed in 2026. Learn more at the project link below.
  • Work is scheduled to begin the week of May 27 and last until August 11.
  • W. Euclid Ave. from S. Elati St. to S. Cherokee St. will be closed to through traffic. 
  • Residents are advised to us W. Sterne Parkway or W. Caley Ave. to access Broadway.
  • The Contractor will maintain access to resident driveways on Euclid between S. Elati St. and S. Cherokee St. throughout the duration of the project.
  • The Contractor will notify residents 48 hours prior to any work performed on their driveway. Parking is available on Southbound S. Elati St., S. Arapahoe Dr., S. Delaware St., and South Cherokee St.. 
  • There will be intermittent bike lane closures along Elati throughout the duration of the project.

Platte Canyon Intersections - Mineral Ave and Platte Canyon Rd/Bowles Ave and Platte Canyon Rd/Lowell Blvd

Traffic Impact:
Working hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tuesday, May 27th to Wednesday May 28th, work will consist of:

  • Northbound right turn lane closure from S Platte Canyon Road onto W Mineral Ave.
  • Eastbound Mineral Avenue/Ken Caryl Avenue through lanes will be reduced to one lane.
  •  Northbound S Platte Canyon Road through lanes will be reduced to one lane.

Thursday, May 29st to Friday, May 30th, work will consist of:

  • Southbound right turn lane closure from S Platte Canyon Road onto W Mineral Ave.
  • Westbound Mineral Avenue/Ken Caryl Avenue through lanes will be reduced to one lane.
  •  Southbound S Platte Canyon Road through lanes will be reduced to one lane
