Official portrait of Amanda Henderson, Council Member District 3

Amanda Henderson has been working in community development, non-profit leadership, and higher education for more than twenty years. She is currently the Director of the Institute for Religion, Politics & Culture at the Iliff School of Theology where she teaches and facilitates community initiatives. Amanda earned a PhD in Religion from the University of Denver, a Master's in Divinity from Brite Divinity School, and a B.S. from Colorado State University. The common thread in Amanda’s work is community development, strategic leadership, fostering relationships across differences, and charting paths through the most complicated issues.

Amanda grew up in Colorado and moved to Littleton in 2012 after she and her husband found a fixer-upper house on Craigslist. Her three children grew up in Littleton and went to Runyon, Euclid and Heritage High School. You can find her running on the High Line Canal, listening to music at the Alley on Main Street, or chatting with neighbors on her porch.
