A fun, safe space for people of all ages and abilities to learn how to safely bike, walk, and roll with confidence.
The Safer Streets Practice Park at East Community Center is a network of miniature streets designed to provide a real-world experience to practice safe bicycling and walking skills. Also known by many other names like a safety town or traffic garden, this interactive space builds confidence and teaches essential life skills to children and new riders. The park features bike facilities, from low-comfort to high-comfort, crosswalks, and intersections that mimic real streets- but in a safe, car-free environment.
Through education, collaboration, and community engagement, Safer Streets Littleton is building a culture where safe travel is always the priority. Goals of the Practice Park include:
Families, adults, and children can all use the facility to practice safe biking and walking skills as well as participate in classes hosted by the City and other community partners.
No motorized bikes, scooters or other vehicles are allowed, except wheelchairs.
