The Euclid Avenue Reconstruction Project will implement “complete street” design along Euclid Avenue from Elati Street to the High Line Canal Trail.

Project Overview

The Euclid Avenue Reconstruction Project will implement “complete street” design along Euclid Avenue from Elati Street to the High Line Canal Trail. Design elements include:

  • A 12-foot-wide shared-use path along the north side of the corridor;
  • Widened sidewalks along the south side;
  • Three raised pedestrian crossings;
  • Curb extensions at intersections;
  • Other traffic-calming elements.

The City of Littleton worked with Euclid Middle School to ensure the redesign aligns with pick-up and drop-off circulation patterns at the school, as well as to align construction with the upcoming Euclid Middle School bond project. On-street parking along the corridor is maintained for residents and recreation field users; parking was balanced with multimodal needs to create a corridor that works for all users, regardless of mode.

Schedule Highlights

Phase 1 construction (Elati Street to Cherokee Street) will occur in summer 2025, to avoid interfering with school. The remaining project phases are anticipated to be completed by August 2026.

Public Engagement

City of Littleton planners and engineers hosted an open house to showcase the street redesign at the Euclid Middle School gym, March 3. City staff and representatives from Littleton Public Schools discussed the project with open house participants, including many residents along Euclid Avenue. Staff is taking into account the concerns residents brought up and will be releasing an FAQ to address these concerns. Residents can reach out to the project team if they would like to discuss this project more in depth.
