The Euclid Avenue Multimodal Improvements Project will create a safer and more accessible route along the Euclid Avenue corridor between Elati Street and South Broadway. The project will improve connectivity to the Euclid Middle School, Options Secondary Program, High Line Canal Trail, and South Broadway.
As part of the Littleton Linkages Trail Study and the Safer Streets Initiative, Euclid Avenue from Elati Street to South Broadway was identified for upgrades which will support safer pedestrian and bicycle travel and promote traffic calming measures for vehicular traffic. Additionally, portions of Euclid Avenue have been identified as having poor quality pavement and in need of rehabilitation.
This project will also implement Littleton’s first “complete street.” Complete streets provide high-comfort bicycle and pedestrian facilities and create safer access to trails, schools and amenities throughout the city. The safety of pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, children, elderly, those with disabilities, and other vulnerable roadway users throughout the city is critical to a healthy city and transportation network.
The Euclid Avenue Multimodal Improvements Project includes the following improvements:
The City of Littleton worked with Euclid Middle School to ensure the redesign aligns with pick-up and drop-off circulation patterns at the school, as well as to align construction with the Euclid Middle School bond project. On-street parking along the corridor is maintained for residents and recreation field users, and parking was balanced with multimodal needs to create a corridor that works for all users, regardless of mode.

The construction of the Euclid Avenue Multimodal Improvements Project is divided into two phases. Implementing the project through two phases was to minimize impacts when Euclid Middle School was in session by completing phase 1 construction during the school’s summer break in 2025 and completing phase 2 construction during the school’s summer break in 2026.
The Euclid Avenue Multimodal Improvements Project is funded by the 3A Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund and the Capital Reserve Fund.
City of Littleton planners and engineers hosted an open house to showcase the street redesign at the Euclid Middle School gym, March 3, 2025. City staff and representatives from Littleton Public Schools discussed the project with open house participants, including many residents along Euclid Avenue. Staff considered the concerns residents brought up and released the following Frequently Asked Questions to address these concerns.
