Since 1977, the Littleton City Council has annually renewed its Senior Refund Program, providing eligible senior residents with financial relief. The program is available to both renters and property owners who have paid their property taxes. Additionally, this refund is not considered income, so recipients are not required to pay taxes on the amount received.

For property owners, the refund is based on the property’s assessed valuation, with amounts ranging from $10 to $100. Renters may receive refunds ranging from $10 to $30.

Property owners whose property is held in a trust or other legal entity for estate planning purposes may still be eligible for a refund. Eligibility is based on the property's assessed valuation, and applicants must provide documentation showing they are the grantee or grantor of the trust.

To qualify, applicants must be 65 years of age or older on or before December 31 of the previous year and must have resided within the Littleton city limits for the entire previous year. Use the Address Wizard to verify if an address falls within city limits.

The deadline to submit the application form is October 31, 2025
