Special Event Sales Tax License

Visitors enjoy the Friends Craft Fair at Ketring Park, browsing handmade items beneath white tents. Crafts, art, and decorations are displayed on tables as people stroll across green grass under sunny skies and leafy trees.

Anyone selling an item in the City of Littleton is required to submit sales tax information per city ordinance. Event organizers are responsible for ensuring all vendors have obtained a sales tax license before the event takes place.

A sample Vendor Spreadsheet is available for download below and can be used to submit vendor information

For Event Organizers

  1. Pre-event
    • Include a link to this City of Littleton Special Event Sales Tax Application in the vendor application process: https://form.jotform.com/261195775754066
    • Submit Initial Vendor Spreadsheet [Excel, linked below] to salestax@littletonco.gov 30 days before the event. The document must include each vendor’s business name, contact name, email address, mailing dress, and phone number. Send this list even if not all vendors have been confirmed yet.
    • Submit Updated Vendor Spreadsheet [Excel, linked below ] to salestax@littletonco.gov 7 to 15 days before the event — the earlier, the better! The document must include each vendor’s business name, contact name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
    • Event organizers must ensure that all vendors have applied for a special event sales tax license and have their license displayed visibly in their vendor booth/tent.
  2. Post-event
    • Submit Final vendor spreadsheet [Excel, linked below ] to salestax@littletonco.gov within 7 days after the event. The document should include the gross total sales for each vendor.

For Vendors

  1. Pre-event
    • Vendors must apply for a City of Littleton Special Event Sales Tax License no later than one week before the event date at https://form.jotform.com/261195775754066 [online form].
    • Applicants should have their Colorado State Sales Tax License number ready when completing the form.
  2. On Event Day
    • Vendors must display their City of Littleton Special Event Sales Tax License visibly on their vendor tent/booth.
  3. Post-event
    • Vendors must download and complete the Special Event Sales Tax Return(PDF, 258KB) [fillable PDF] and include with their sales tax payment to the City of Littleton.
    • Payments can be mailed with a check or delivered in person to the City of Littleton at 2255 W. Berry Ave., Littleton, CO 80120.
    • Sales taxes are due by the 20th of the month following the event.
